The Launch of Reveal

The Department of Adolescent & Transition Medicine Service celebrated National Youth Week 2007 by launching our art project “Reveal” one mask at a time… The event involved displaying  100 masks which were sewn onto 5 canvases. A variety of creative mediums were used to express each patients own unique story. This included depicting the messages behind the masks with painting meaningful quotes.

Canvas 2: Paediatric ward
Canvas 3: Orthopaedic ward
Canvas 4: Respiratory ward
Canvas 5: Oncology, haematology and Neurology

The Exhibition was a great success and the canvases were viewed by over 100 people. This included The Health Minister Reba Meagher, hospital staff and patients involved in this project.

The Department of Adolescent & Transition Medicine would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the patients that participated in this project for sharing their stories.
