Strategic partnerships
Many factors influence the health and wellbeing of communities such as income, employment, education, housing, access to services etc. Therefore, health services need to work collaboratively within and beyond the health system to better link and coordinate services and improve health. In SSWAHS, working in collaboration with key stakeholders is an important part of health promotion work. Partnerships are essential to achieving positive health outcomes in all health promotion priority areas. In 2008, the Strategic Partnerships Stream was created to support and extend the partnership work of the Health Promotion Service and increase its strategic focus. Our work is guided by the Strategic Partnerships Team Action Plan 2008 -2011. We are currently undertaking the following projects:
